Visiting and Helping at the Villa
If you are visiting the area and would like to
visit the Villa to see your sponsored
child, you are encouraged to do so. Please observe the normal visiting hours.
Normal visiting hours at the Villa are:
Monday - Friday: 10AM to 12 & 4PM to 6PM
Saturday 10AM to 1:30PM.
No visiting hours on Sunday.
The orphanage
is located in the central highlands of Jalisco, Mexico on the south shore of Lake Chapala between San Pedro Tesistan and San Cristobal
From Chapala area, drive through Jocotepec toward Guadalajara. At the T-junction on the outskirts of town, turn left towards Mazamitla and drive 9.5 km. Entrance is on the left hand side of the highway
There are currently 30 children, aged 2 - 12 at the Villa with the majority attending school so there is no shortage of homework! If you have any time available Monday through Friday between 4pm and 6pm we can definitely use your help assisting the children with their homework assignments. The children are learning English so don't let a lack of proficiency in Spanish stop you!
Enjoy preparing a simple lunch and having lots of mouths to feed? We could use your help. If you can take a cooked lunch out to the orphanage one day a week or month Monday-Friday, you will be rewarded with healthy appetites.
Do you like to read stories, sing songs, play games and do arts and crafts? If so, come and share you special hobby or skills with our pre-schoolers between 10AM and noon Monday through Friday. For your work, you'll receive a heartful of love and many, many hugs!
